Reviews and Comments

From kazblox :

Easily a great early Famous B&W Popeye. Why? It's typical shlick of Popeye's 4 nephews being annoying as hell, and in this cartoon, the factor of that is taken to the max. In short, this cartoon takes advantage of the characteristics of Popeye's nephews really well. It also shows the crazy creativity of what you can make out of random objects to make music. Even after 10 times watching this cartoon, it still makes me have great laughs. The part I mostly enjoyed at was the ending when Popeye literally broke the fourth wall by forcing the cartoon to end so that he could sleep, but his nephews were still annoying him with the music and he drives himself crazy! Who couldn't get a laugh out of that?! (Note: This specific Popeye, along with Spooky Swabs, is also the cartoon that introduced me to the old-timey cartoon scene. Without this cartoon being in the Public Domain, I would not be here today.) I would give it a 10, but I gave it a 9 because it's not one of these cartoons where Popeye eats spinach..... eheheheheheh..... heh.............
