Reviews and Comments

From Baruch Weiss :

Nice short, but I'm not a fan of horse back riding.

From Trae Robinson :

Like The Art Of Self-Defense, There's a scene in this cartoon where Goofy goes in slow motion to repeat his actions. Tennis Racquet was the last Goofy short to have a slow motion gag.

From Bryan Hensley :

Confucius say: The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man. Poor Goofy had a hard time getting the hang of horseback-riding. Horses aren't always dumb, just ask Percy the horse! (Boy, was he angry when the narrator said horses are dumb animals!) Goofy was messing up over and over, and Percy couldn't help but laugh his head off. At the end, when the narrator mentioned the stable, he ran right into it, making Goofy try to stop scuffing the ground until he crashed into the stable gate! Mixing up lefts and rights of your body and your surroundings can bore even the silliest of people and animals! For some reason, this short had an unrestored cut in volume 7 of Disney's Classic Cartoon Favorites collection. The longer short it came with, The Reluctant Dragon, was equally unrestored in both It's A Small World of Fun volume 4 and Disney's Animation Collection volume 6! At least the second disc I mentioned had it uncut, as far as I could tell. That version had end credits! Both shorts are still good to me, and I hope you enjoy them!
