  • The first animated film to be presented in Dolby surround sound.
  • Based on the novel of the same name by Richard Adams.
  • Originally directed by John Hubley, who was fired from the film by Martin Rosen over creative differences in August 1976. His work can still be found in the film, especially in the "fable" scene.
