Which it clearly states is the copyright date. It's quite possible that Paramount backlogged some of the Famous cartoons; perhaps not to the same degree as MGM...

There have been many instances of differences between the copyright and release dates on the Warner Bros. cartoons... especially between 1953 and 1955; because of the backlog which existed even when the studio shut down for a year.

It looks as though Famous used a slightly-different Paramount logo at the start of the Casper cartoons (as opposed to the Noveltoons); but it's difficult to tell from the B&W film print.

Maybe YouTube is somewhat hastened to drop anything that hasn't user-created content in order to survive the S.O.P.A. bill, no one knows what will happen to the site after Jan 24.

Going by the drawing of the clouds here and the remaining clouds you can see in the NTA print of "There's Good Boos Tonight" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrUbXxDEfIU ), it looks as if the Paramount opening from "Boos and Arrows" and "Frightday the 13th" may originally have been done for that 1948 short, and was part of the panning opening sequence. It would be nice if an original print of "TGBT" would show up to see if that was the case.

Yep! I went to my YouTube account video history to find two of the "Woody Woodpecker Show" eps that I had previously viewed, and when I clicked on one of them I got a pop-up saying that the account associated with that particular video had been terminated. What a shame, I really wanted that nice-looking copy of "Jungle Jive".

Well, those would be commercially released on DVD episodes. That would be on volume 6 of the Columbia House set.

Yes, but that set's been discontinued... and since it was a subscription-based, mail-order set I doubt one could find a used copy unless someone was selling it on eBay.
