Here's the unedited scenes from "It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown", where Peppermint Patty blames Charlie Brown for ruining the football plays (even though it was Lucy's fault) which was later altered after many complaints. Pardon the poor quality. :

^ Nice find there.  The first video didn't sound too bad, but the second video was a realy unfair line to Charlie Brown. <  I was talking about Pepperment Patty's lines by the way, not the quality of the sound, which isn't bad.

Hey, at least it is a good ending in the end of the special

Interesting. When was it edited? I remember seeing this one on either Nickelodeon or the Disney Channel and also feeling a bit miffed at the blaming of Charlie Brown in that scene. It really did feel like the standard 'football' gag was out of place in that sequence. I asked myself at the time, why would Lucy sabotage her own team?

Here an early '60's commercial done by Chuck Jone's unit.  Again, sorry for the poor quality:

A commercial for Beep Beep Cereal! It's advertised as an energy cereal, which means the announcer never ate any.

BTW - Doncha just love that "zoop zoop zoop" sound as the coyote paints the tunnel?

Well it's an animatic; the commericial wasn't finished yet, but then the cereal was canceled.  I'm more concerened about the Beep beeps.  That is not Paul Julian, and if it is...why isn't the voice sped up

Ever wondered what it would be like if a TV anime did Looney Tunes style gags?

This should give you an idea. It's called Pyun Pyun Maru and it was made by Toei Animation back in 1967. The show is about a ninja kid and his brother working at a detective agency, under their Boss, who has a long beard that essentially acts as his second pair of arms.

It's pretty messed up. The link below is the first episode, but other episodes have crazier gags.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMvwVrhnv4I

26 episodes were made for this program, but only 12 aired in 1967. The show was taken off the air due to low ratings (it must've been pretty bad. Japan rarely yanks the show off during the middle of the run due to poor ratings, especially if there are unaired episodes).

Eventually, though, the remaining 14 was shown in 1970.

Nobody's caring about Halloween at the momment, but that's ok, here's the missing from the Great Pumpkin (once again, an original Coca-Cola opening title).  Check it out:
