I saw on YouTube a while back Kids WB Promo for a similar marathon, showcasing the first episodes of every Kids WB show

Since there are other people here interested in original Disney titles, here are the original opening and closing titles to WINTER STORAGE. Admittedly nothing too interesting was lost when the cartoon was reissued, but I'm always interested to see how a cartoon was originally presented.

The same company has uploaded the opening and closing titles of a reissue print of THREE LITTLE PIGS. We were talking about reissues of this not too long ago, but still long enough ago for me to want to bump the old thread.

Interesting to see how this stacks up with the recreated titles on the German Donald Duck Christmas Blu-ray. All the recreated titles on that Blu-ray simply took original RKO titles from another cartoon and "digitally spliced" it onto the short, sometimes erroneously retaining the reissue credits card and the awkward jumpcut to the title card.

In a somewhat related upload, the user that posted the original titles to "I Heard" has subsequently posted a handful of 9.5mm transfers of Betty Boop and Popeye. Notably, "The Old Man of the Mountain" had unique closing titles:

What you won't see on the new Olive Films Blu-ray :betty::

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TkvlFqieH8

I always thought the pre-code Boops had a special opening where the logo turns into the title card, but looking at 9.5 mm home movie prints, I am proven wrong. It's just a dissolve. The scarcity of the original Paramount titles by UM&M/NTA has caused the imagination to come up with special opening the Fleischer editors and cameramen never thought possible when these were orginally made.

I hope Olive includes these as a bonus feature in the upcoming releases.    I just popped in my Popeye Volume 1 DVD and they jump cut to the original title from the mountain logo.  It's pretty much as close as we are going to get.

No, that's an iris-out to the Paramount mountain logo.

Here's a recent GEICO commercial featuring CG Rocky and Bullwinkle.

If Tom Kenny voiced Bullwinkle, you can hear a bit of Heffer (from Rocko's Modern Life) in his voice.
Happy Holidays, everyone!

Ha! That was great. Glad that R&B are getting put back into the public's eye.

WOW! They look great in CGI (much better than their previous CGI animation from that crappy live-action film by Universal). However, I would like to know what cartoon sound effects are in this commercial (but please let it be the Jay Ward sound effects and not the Hanna-Barbera sound effects, since they would sound out-of-place if it uses Hanna-Barbera sound effects).
I'm not just a fan of classic golden age animation, I'm also a fan of video games, anime, and modern animation (both 2D and CGI animation).

Rocky's flying sound is indeed present in this commercial. Not sure about the slide whistle before she flies off, though.

You mean HE. I think the slide whistle was a newer sound.

Tom Kenny's Bullwinkle voice kind of reminded me of his Heffer voice...

Funny as it was, the quality is pretty poor
