I really wish U-Verse had Kabillion On-Demand. Xfinity service is available in my area, but the situation is a little complicated. The apartment complex I live at has a contract with AT&T, and therefore, they won't allow Xfinity service to be installed.

Meanwhile, I just hope that Kabillion's YouTube channel will have everything that the On-Demand service has, even if it means waiting a few more days to get it.

The restored version of "The Little Lost Pony" sure looked great. I've always wanted to see it and "The Blockheads" officially restored into a single episode. Though the 6-minute version of the former seems to stand alone fine, "The Blockheads" works better as part of the 11-minute version of "The Little Lost Pony."
Wonder what the name of that honky-tonk saloon piano stock music cue is named (it also shows up on "Ricochet Pete.")

No, I was using quotes to say didn't loosely.  Really, I meant to say yes and no.
Well then, I apologize. Hard to tell emotions on the internet at times.  :-\

When these episodes were split in half for syndication in the 1960's, some new sequences were filmed, and it is very easy to notice the new footage as the Gumby mold used in the new footage looks different than the one used in the rest of the episode. When episodes were split in half, one would retain the original title while the other would have a new title. Sometimes to bridge gaps, this new footage had to be made.

Here is what "Mirrorland" was for many decades prior to this newly restored version

"Mirrorland"

"Lost and Found"

It should be very easy to spot this newly filmed footage in the "Lost and Found" half. Also, I think that this footage is still shown in the newly restored "Moon Trip" (watch it again and pay close attention during the scene where Gumby becomes completely frozen).

Yup, I noticed the 1962 footage in "Moon Trip."
Though they only used molds to make the characters from the 1960s onward. In the 1950s shorts, they were made with rolling pins, cookie cutters and stuff like that, making for a more interesting style. Any new footage did use something resembling the 1960s Gumby mold, but with his 1950s-style red-pupil eyes and rubberband-like mouth. IIRC, Gumby did not speak in the new footage made for 1956 episodes, but in the 1957 episodes he did, since Dallas McKennon voiced him in those. With this new footage, Art Clokey would also voice Pokey, which explains why he spoke while Gumby didn't at the start of the re-edited "The Blockheads" (that honky-tonk piano theme was kind of out of place with that scene of them running into the book.)

The restore "Mirrorland" isn't new.  It was shown seven years ago on WB's/AOL's IN2TV site.

No it was't. There were only somewhere around 30 restored transfers back then and "Mirrorland" wasn't one of them.

I could've sworn that was one of them.  Maybe I'm thinking about one half was officially on Youtube briefly via Vemo or something like that.

Hmm..Kabillion skipped some episodes.  Lion Around is now up on demand.  I hope the other episodes show up soon.

I really wish Kabillion would put up more episodes on YouTube faster. At the rate of one a week, it'll be a long time before the whole series is up.

In "The Little Lost Pony" I noticed right before Gumby and Pokey walk into the saloon, Pokey's voice sounds like Clokey's later version of the character. Before watching this newly restored version, I noticed in the syndicated half verstion titled "The Blockheads", dialogue for Pokey seemed to be re-recorded up until the point where Gumby and Pokey order their milkshakes. Perhaps the original audio is lost.

Also interesting was after the episode ended, it said that "Making Squares" is the next episode up. While it isn't uploaded yet, it makes me think perhaps they are going to deviate from going in "chronological" order. I loosely use the term because Clokey hasn't documented what specific order these episodes were filmed in.

One last thing, I thought Kabillion was going to provide new episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on their YouTube channel. So far, they have only given us one episode per week.
