Stream pitch
« on: August 07, 2014, 03:58:16 pm »
I propose a stream that airs on the weekends
again, Since SatAm will bite the big one come this fall - This will be the best way to keep it alive and more

How it can be pulled off you ask? It requires a HTML5 compatible streaming service of which will make it possible to view it on our TVs via the Wii U browser (as it runs on HTML5)

Content in mind
- Imports like Sooty, Henry's Cat, Rastamouse, The Basil Brush Show and others
- Shows that are shunned for US broadcast for B/S TV Exec reasons like Geronimo Stilton, The Dreamstone, The Wombles and others
- Classic Cartoons
- Kid Shows that can be watched by everybody like Animal Stories, My Big Big Friend and My Friend Rabbit (to name a few)
- Anime like Kaiketsu Zorori (and it's follow-up Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori) and Shirokuma Cafe [Polar Bear's Cafe] (to name a few)
- Tokusatsu (namely Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes Series and Super Sentai)
- Films (well known and oddities)

and to even out the variety, Britcoms like "Mongrels", "Monty Python's Flying Circus" and "Bottom" for the Primetime hours

We shall call it Zenophan Weekend Television

so if this dream becomes a reality, what would the schedule be and will it be a once a week deal like SatAM used to be or just compared to a cable TV network ?
I like Cartoons and that's it

schedule is varied but must be discussed community wise

and to answer the 2nd question: Every Saturday AND Sunday

may I suggest putting the Anime and Tokusatsu shows on an afternoon programming block similar to CN's Toonami and a secondary afternoon programming block featuring the Classic Cartoons much like The Disney Afternoon or USA Cartoon Express

for the Anime would you also show Doraemon (1978-2005 series) and Subtitled Episodes of just about almost every obscure Anime series that Charles Brubaker talked about on Cartoon Research (if there are any out there  ???)  as  for the Tokusatsu shows like Ultraman ,Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes Shows and/or Super Sentai, will you streaming the Showa era stuff (example: Kamen Rider 1 & 2 through KR: Black RX) or the Showa era (example: Kamen Rider Kuuga to Kamen Rider Gaim) or would it be a mixture of Past and Present

The idea is the stream is a community driven deal, one of the community will run the stream and air the shows as we planned

Plausible depending on the planned schedules for each week (again, each will be discussed by this community)
All we need is someone to make the stream happen with the content in tow along with continuity in forms of schedule slides, animated logos and voice over

for now, you guys are welcome to discuss any plausible alterations to the launch schedule along with the lineup for Sunday

I was thinking, I already stated that the schedule will vary depending on who will plan it
So any show is plausible as long as it isn't rubbish like say Hammerman

I don't know what Hammerman is.
Though, I'd say Rastamouse is rubbish, as it's like Scooby-Doo, but with more stereotypes.

How about some classics, like Where's Wally? and Earthworm Jim?

I would say that
first off the obese characters in Rastamouse are hardly ever seen scarfing down on food or act stupid for cheap laughs
the ppl in grove town/mouse land never smoked a joint or drink booze
Plus the characters are likeable and not "offensive" as those butthurt SJWs portray them to be
