I enjoy this cartoon, I say it might be one of Clampett's  best! With great animation by McKimson and Scribner, and with very, very exaggerated gags.

Classic short. Liked Daffy's expressions when he tries to escape the little man from the draft board.

Almost 25 years later, during the Vietnam War, Daffy escaping the draft would probaly have fit in more, but here he has more different persoanlity. That little man is a radio comedy caricature [the "Gildersleeve" druggist] and this features the "resilience/one step ahead" bit with the man from the draft board. Daffy says when i the fiery place "I'm in-I must be in"[the he- with two hockey-sticks] gasps at the end when all of a sudden who should ALSO show up [since Daffy tied him to rocket him away] in [gasp] but you know who.

"Oh, no, not YOU..." and the "Beyyop" ending.[Bob Clampett sure liked to use those.]

I always liked how patriotic Daffy felt until the little man from the Draft Board showed up at his house. Great combination of the wacky and self-centered Daffy personas.
