Some shocking news from Warner Bros. Animation...

Looney Tunes Gang to get Redesign
by (NAME WITHHELD), March 31, 2014

Say goodbye to the classic designs of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and the gang as you know it. Because anyone who's familiar with "The Looney Tunes Show" and its' character designs are going to become the permanent new look for the Looney Tunes from this point on.

Warner Bros. Animation president Sam Register says, "This is very exciting indeed. It turns out a lot of people liked Jessica Borutski's character redesigns we utilized for our 'Looney Tunes Show' a few years back. With the 52 episodes of that series finished, and our upcoming 'Wabbit' series in production, we decided to rehire Jessica to work on it, and figured that should be their new appearance for all future appearances and merchandising.

What we understand is kids do not appeal to the classic designs of the characters that were made by our late veteran staff members like Chuck Jones, Bob Clampett and Friz Freleng (oh yeah, we found out Friz Freleng was actually a furry!) But they do like the more modern designs Jessica came up with, and we figured this was the best way we could bring the gang into the new millennium. We also understand Jessica was not pleased with the outcome of 'The Looney Tunes Show,' but this is already pleasing her greatly. She is so proud to be part of such a big change on America's culture.

We're also going to reanimate some of our best classic Looney Tunes cartoons in this new style, including What's Opera, Doc?, The Great Piggy Bank Robbery, Rabbit Fire, Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2th Century, Robin Hood Daffy, and 30 other shorts. The actual animation will be done in Korea by our ever-reliable Lotto Animation facilities, but Jessica will closely supervise to make sure they look like they should. We will keep their original soundtracks, so you will still hear Mel Blanc's vocal tracks and the great music of Carl Stalling and Milt Franklyn. We plan to play them on Cartoon Network and Boomerang, mixed with the original shorts.

We're even going to plan a direct-to-video 'special edition' of Space Jam with the redesigned animated characters, as we still have the original live-action footage available. We're also going to completely redo Lola's character to make her the stupid version from 'The Looney Tunes Show,' since more people seem to like her than her sassy-but-bland original version. We'll even re-animate the Road Runner and Coyote cameo in that 'What's New, Scooby-Doo' episode from ten years ago so they'll be in Jessica's designs, likewise with the 1972 crossover special 'Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet the Groovie Goolies!'"

So there you have it. This is how we will be seeing the Looney Tunes in the future:

I can't believe this is happening! Here's another website about it...

If this can help 'Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet the Groovie Goolies!' live on into the future, then so be it!

I like how this one thread has not been moved to the April Fools section. I guess it's all true then. :P

Nope, this was an April Fools' prank. Why hasn't this been moved yet?  ???

Eh, sometimes people look over April Fools threads at times. Like I know my Mighty Mouse Comes to Nickelodeon thread from 2012 wasn't moved until a couple weeks or a month later lol. :P
I love classic cartoons!
