It's interesting to see Marvin the Martian with a different-sounding voice, K-9 able to talk, and also it seems like Bugs isn't as in controll as usual, as he's able to be tricked into getting into the rocket. But I feel this is one of the weaker Marvin the Martian shorts. The Hasty Hare, Duck Dodgers, and Hare-Way to the Stars are all much better.
It seems like all later Marvin the Martian cartoons borrow elements of this short. The Hasty Hare is the only other one with K-9 (though aside from that there are no similarities), this and Hare-Way to the Stars involve Marvin wanting to blow up the earth, this and Duck Dodgers both end with a planet being blown up to the point that Marvin has to hang from the bottom, and both this and Mad as a Mars Hare have Bugs Bunny being sent to space as an experiment, him being motivated by carrots.
