According to the movie database on their official World Wide Web site and the list of movies they would have in their programming next January I had found on the same site, the broadcast would take place on the 31st day of that month (a Saturday) between the Central times of 1:15 a.m. and 2:45 a.m.

General Discussion / The "Carnac the Magnificent" Game

(note: this game is based on a series of sketches for NBC's "Tonight" program from the time Johnny Carson was its host)

Respond to a user's statement with a funny question to make that statement into its possible answer and leave a statement for the next user to do same.

"What a ham hawk!"

What was Foghorn Leghorn's response to Henery Hawk performance in the school play?

I'll start the game with this statement:

Lug nuts.

Today I saw the most depressing animated movie I had ever seen in my life: "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time". I had wanted to see that movie for years and when I finally got the chance to see it I was very happy until the plot got very depressing and some of the main characters became more unlikable. I was even scared for some of the characters at one point and hoping for a better outcome for them (I was near the point of shedding tears by this point). I did not feel like laughing at all during the movie, not even during the truly funny parts near the beginning. I had hoped this movie would be worth watching again before actually watching it, but now I feel it is not worth watching again.

Have you found any animated movies you found very depressing, too?

General Discussion / Unusual Combinations of Food You Like
« on: December 06, 2013, 12:46:57 pm »
Have you ever combined different types of food some other folks may say are disgusting together and discovered they tasted great together? If so, could you share some of those combinations here?

Pancakes with warn peanut butter and jelly on top of them.
Pancakes with warm ice cream (or a liquid form of ice cream) on top.
Red beans and rice with melted cheese.
Cornbread dressing with ice cream (they tasted good either hot or cold).
Fried strips of potatoes (or french fries) and barbecue sauce.

I found an article about "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show" that includes quotations from a recent interview with Danny Wells, the person who played Luigi in the program's live-action segments and provided his voice for the program's animated segments (the article was published in January of this calendar year).
