Is the switchover still planned for tomorrow (1/7).  If so, do you have any idea as to when the forums will be offline.  Good luck with the move.

TTTP In Exile / Dumbo: live action version?
« on: July 09, 2014, 07:31:59 pm »
I just saw a news blurb stating that Disney is developing a live action version of "Dumbo".  Is this really happening?  Is there any way that this could work?

TTTP In Exile / Puppetoon Blu-Ray set
« on: March 14, 2014, 04:09:22 pm »
I thought that the new Puppetoon Blu-Ray set was great.  How well did this set sell?  Did it sell enough copies to warrant B2MP (or someone else) to do future limited edition projects of this nature?

Checkout the Greenbriar Picture Show blog:

Two great articles about this Blu-ray release.

I got my copy earlier today here in East Tennessee.  The Blu-Ray looks great.  I did do a firmware upgrade prior to viewing this disc on my Samsung player.

The disc arrived here in East Tennessee yesterday and it looks great.  Even better than I expected.  Quick question:  Are all 8 selections in the Educational and Industrial Films section UPA productions?

I really do not like the title of this thread.  I've purchased or donated to just about every set (close to 50 DVD's if you include the preview and bonus discs) that Thunderbean has released over the years and everyone has exceeded my expectations.  With the major studios cutting back on their production of DVD sets Thunderbean is just about the only source of classic animation on DVD with a number of sets produced each year.  Thunderbean is essentially a one man operation and I could never figure how Steve is able to produce the number of titles that he does each year.  Being a shoestring operation, he is at the mercy of who ever he contracts with (ie replicators).  I'm just glad that Steve has the quality control to see that these releases are the best they can be with his limited resources and that he doesn't ship until they are.  I've always thought of the purchase of a Thunderbean set as a donation to keep these sets coming future and I never expected them to be delivered in a short period of time.

I am now waiting for the delivery of three different sets from Thunderbean.  When will they arrive?  I don't know, but one thing that I am sure about is that they will eventually get to my mailbox here in East Tennessee and I know that I will more than happy with what I'll see on those sets.   I feel that we the readers of this forum who enjoy classic animation should be showing their full support of people like Steve Stanchfield.

Steve, keep up the great work!

TTTP In Exile / Re: MR. MAGOO:THEATRICAL COLLECTION Question?
« on: January 12, 2014, 04:23:52 pm »
Will this set be released only as a DVD or will there be a Blu-Ray of it.  Also, on the Amazon site I saw that this set has 5 reviews.  Why does Amazon allow someone to give a five star review to an item that hasn't even been shipped to the reviewer?  This really diminishes any future legit reviews.

I just checked and it appears that Amazon no longer has the page for vol.3 posted.  I know I saw it on 12/14 with the artwork as shown in msg# 107.

For what it's worth, Amazon has the vol.3 release date as 4/29/2014.

Has anyone seen any reports about sales for this set?  Are the sales numbers good enough to warrant future projects like this one?  I'd really likr to see more Puppetoons.
