I was always a little disappointed with the "MouseWorks" and "House of Mouse" shorts that tried to revive Mickey and the gang, but put up with them because I thought that was the best we were ever going to get. They were cute and bland and entertaining, but a far cry from the type of possibility that was shown in the previous Mickey re-creation, "Runaway Brain." But if this short is any indication of what we might be in store for with a new line of promised shorts, we could be in for some wild times indeed. It's crazy, it's inventive, and it shows a real striving for the creative imagination that really makes a short stand out. At three and a half minutes, it's a little short, so lets hope that they can stretch their legs out a bit and really show us what they can do with this format.
