This was definitely a first run cartoon. Pluto runs to the sidewalk and finds himself ankle-deep in freshly poured cement. A run of site gags involve Pluto becoming several famous statues as he tries desperately to keep the paper from getting ruined. He finally breaks out and brings Mickey the paper, all the while Pluto is wearing four cement shoes, which, in the end cause him to crash through the floor into the basement. I give the short a 7 out of 10. It was fairly entertaining.

A fun short short with Pluto once again obeying Mickey as faithfully as he can. Lots of fun when he encounters wet cement and becomes a whole series of famous statues. (with a Pluto twist, of course) Pluto's expressions and "dogged" determination make him Disney's most successful pantomime character.

Another cartoon where they rattled off a list of certain things. People will recognize the various statues Pluto turned into, but there's nothing really funny about them.

This Pluto cartoon is funny! One day, Mickey asks Pluto to ask fetch the paper, so he says "Yeah!" So he goes to fetch the paper, but he was in the wet cement! So he tries to get out of the cement, and the funny part is when Pluto changed into the Statue of Liberty with the paper as the torch. And another funny part is when the cement truck backed up and poured cement on Pluto into the sidewalk and was covered from head to toe. Then Pluto came into the house with the paper with cement shoes on and Mickey says "Attaboy, Pluto!" Then he fell through the floor! That is a funny Pluto cartoon. I give it a 80.
