From Ryan :

This short is similar to the earlier short Donald Duck and the Gorilla only with a lion. Do nald's nephews want a pie that Donald has just baked so they disguise themselves as a lion in order to get it. Donald is not fooled for long and chases them away. Eventually, a real mountain lion comes by and Donald thinks it's his nephews again. This is one of my favorite shorts and I recommend it to all Disney fans.

From Baruch Weiss :

This short was ok but it wasn't one of my favorites. If Donald's nephews wanted a pie, they should of just asked their uncle if they could have some. Speaking of nephews I wonder if they have a dad at all?

From Mike :

A very funny Donald cartoon. The chase scene with Donald and the lion was absolutely hilarious. The ending with Donald giving the lions all those pies was funny.

From Bryan Hensley :

This short seemed to start off a revolutionary decade in history (the 50's), as well as a part of volume 4 of Disney's Funny Factory collection (which starred Huey, Dewey, and Louie). Two of the nephews disguised themselves as a lion while the last one goes for the pie Donald made. It's not good at all to spank a mountain lion with his tail; Donald was asking for it when a real lion appeared. This seems to be a remake of Donald Duck and the Gorilla from 1944, but it's still a hoot! I really enjoyed the part where Donald wore a rhino head to scare off the lion away from his trophy room (Surely they weren't his own hunting trophies, were they?), then the lion came back with a warthog head and scared the rhino head away and it turned white! At least when worse came to worse, the nephews helped Donald feed the lion with a big supply of pies! The lion's name is Louie and he also appeared in a bunch of Goofy shorts. It seems he was redesigned from the tiger from Tiger Trouble in 1945, if you look closely. I hope you enjoy this classic remake that's pretty different in comparison from Three Stooges shorts from the post-Shemp era, or MGM's Cinemascope remakes of a few Droopy and Tom and Jerry shorts! (As well as an old short Peace on Earth from 1939.)
