- The film Shirley the Loon and Foulmouth see, "Skunknophobia", is a parody/send-off to the 1990 Steven Spielberg produced film "Arachnophobia" (directed by Frank Marshall).

- In Hampton's family car a Porky Pig car ornament can be seen hanging from the rear view mirror.
- Intended for a theatrical release, but executive producer Steven Spielberg insisted it go straight to video. The reason being was because he believed "animated features are ideally suited for the repeat viewing," a factor he found important to the genre's appeal to those watching animated films at home.
- The film was later separated into 4 parts and aired as part of the Tiny Toon Adventures TV package.
