Inside Out 2
(Sequel)
Trivia
- The inspiration for this movie came from Pete Docter’s daughter when he noticed she was becoming “more quiet and reserved”.
- Paul Ekman, an American psychologist who’s a pioneer in studying emotions and their relation to facial expressions and Dacher Keltner, professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley were invited to brief the crew on the nature and accuracy of emotions.
- Up to 27 emotions were considered by the writers in earlier versions of the film, but the number was reduced to 5 for the sake of simplicity and making the film less complicated. Some of the early emotions that were considered include Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment, all 3 who would later be used for the sequel 9 nine years later. Another Emotion, Surprise, was also cut due to sharing similarities with Fear.
