Synopsis

Gandy Goose joins the Navy, but is turned down because he incorrectly identified a letter. Later, he gets the idea to become a mine layer. He gets mines by feeding a hen dynamite, then heads out to sea with four hens. A submarine sneaks by and starts firing torpedoes at him. Gandy is able to bat the cannonballs back at it, and the hens finish the job by laying their explosive eggs. Gandy is declared a hero by the Navy.
