  • The Blue Ribbon reissue cuts out the opening and closing scenes with the Alexander Wolcott caricature, as he requested they do so after his death; cut along with them was the closing gag of the cuckoo bird's mouth bring tied shut to Rip Van Winkle can get some sleep. Those scenes are restored on the DVD release.
