After trying and eventually failing to distract the Devil by dancing with him, Ms. Chalice refuses to betray Cuphead and Mugman, but the Devil forces her to do it by threatening to kill her. The Devil tells Chalice that she needs to get Cuphead and Mugman to sign a contract that forces the two brothers to owe the Devil their souls. However, before Cuphead and Mugman can sign it, Chalice can't bring herself to do that and tells them everything. Enraged, the Devil prepares to kill Chalice until she challenges him to a dance duel, bringing the residents of Inkwell Isle and Inkwell Hell and other characters from all three seasons to see it in a demonic arena. After a long duel, Chalice almost wins until she accidentally stumbles upon some marbles that Cuphead gave her as a gift earlier. Just before the Devil can finish off Chalice, Cuphead stops him and challenges him to a rock-paper-scissors game to save Chalice, offering his and Mugman's souls to the Devil in addition to Chalice if he loses. The Devil accepts, but Cuphead beats him easily even after the Devil requests more rounds, forcing the Devil to finally accept defeat for good as Henchmen decides to make a bath with bubbles for him. Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice are then celebrated by Inkwell Isle's inhabitants as the isle's heroes. The next month after not being met by the Devil again, the trio discovers that the Devil has opened a casino. This attracts Cuphead's interest, much to Mugman and Chalice's dismay, ending the episode with Mugman and Chalice chasing Cuphead to the casino.
