Inside Jokes
Ralph and Norton are a parody of Jackie Gleason's and Art Carney's characters Ralph Kramnden and Ed Norton respectively from "The Honeymooners". Director Robert McKimson would play with this concept again in "The Honeymousers", a parody of the TV series with mice in the lead role and would go on to have some follow-ups.
