From Jerry Edwards :

Drawn mainly in UPA-type limited animation, I've always much enjoyed this unusual cartoon "double bill." The first part of The House That Jack Built is interesting due to the characters being drawn from the ACTUAL WORDS - the dog is drawn using the word "dog", the cat is drawn using the word "cat", etc. I really enjoy that inventiveness. The Old MacDonald Had A Band (instead of a farm) is fun too.

From Ryan :

I first saw this cartoon on Toon Disney a few years ago. I really did not care too much for it. The animation is rather poor even for this time. The song just went on and on and on in the cartoon, which got rather tiring for me. Overall, I feel that this short is rather boring, but I do enjoy the ending where Jack's wife hits him on the head with her rolling pin and drags him home.

From Baruch Weiss :

I thought than this was an enjoyable cartoon, I actually first saw the second segment on the DIsney sing along video 'Fun with Music.' Overall, a fun musical cartoon.

From Billy Joe :

This short does not have the Disney look. The backgrounds, characters, and animation are abstract.

"The House That Jack Built" is my favorite part. I like how they built the characters from words.

"Old MacDonald had a Band" (a take of "Old MacDonald had a Farm") was okay. I thought it was too long, but it had funny parts. It had reused animation from "Make Mine Music" (the "All the Cats Join In" short).
