I ask those here to keep your responses civil and appropriate

With the recent excitement of MeTV Toons, everyone has their own opinion of what should be on the network. Personally, I think the starting lineup is great, and will only get better over the coming months. But, with that in mind, what classic animation do you hope to see in the future?

Speaking realistically, I'd love to see the DePatie Freleng cartoons return, which I'm sure is planned for the future. Heck, add more Panthers and the other series. Most of them aren't good (Save Ant and the Aaardvark), but they would add variety and some may be good in small doses, like the UPAs they air with Popeye.

On a much more "fingers crossed" scale, I would love to see a package of Terrytoons, but this is Viacom, which going through its own hurdles right now. But MeTV Toons may create the incentive to FINALLY make Viacom acknowledge them, which would allow for more than Terrytoons obviously, but those are what I want most. That and Quick Draw McGraw, which seems more possible, but not for a long while. Let's hope the network maintains and keeps gaining popularity!

- A movie block not unlike (Mr. Spim's) Cartoon Theatre. If anything, it'd be a good place to show whatever films from WB and other film libraries they can get ahold of (H-B's features, Gay Purr-ee, The Phantom Tollbooth, the LT compilation films), and hopefully some more obscure fare like Disney Channel or CN used to show 'way back when. It's a pipe dream due to the legal mumbo-jumbo involved, but I'd love to see the Richard Williams Raggedy Ann and Andy feature shown on television again, especially due to its recent surge in popularity.
- the DePatie-Freleng cartoons, and maybe even their Dr. Seuss specials.
- On the subject of specials, both the Rankin/Bass specials and the Kipling/Cricket in Times Square specials Chuck Jones did in the 70s. Regarding the former, Universal and WB have cooperated before to present that video release with all the specials on one box set, hopefully they'd be able to do the same for at least the more obscure R/B holiday specials since the more iconic ones are still available OtA.
- some silent/early sound rarities, could even be a place to showcase the superb restorations of cartoons from this era from Thunderbean, Stathes and other parties in the same way the TCM events for those who don't have access to it.
- the "Big 3" of the Amblin/WB collaborations (Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain). I'm really grateful we're getting some of these Spielberg shows like Freakazoid! on launch, but I sincerely hope we can get these as well in the future, although I can settle for Taz-Mania, Detention or The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries in the interim.
- Garfield and Friends as well as the network specials with Jim Davis' fat cat.
- As Toonatic said above me, the 90s Batman (plus Superman) shows.
- Hoppity Hooper, as it's mainly only available in subpar VHS transfers from the 1980s.

I would love to see George Pal's Puppetoons pop up. Those guys are overdue for a larger audience.

Some good suggestions! Some general thoughts:
-I'm certain that a few of these will happen, Thunderbean and Stathes offerings seem like a given in the future.
-A movie block beyond the Flintstone and Scooby Sunday block sounds likely, once more product is prepared, although The Raggedy Ann feature is tied in rights issues Steve discusses here
-The Spielberg Shows are currently tied up in streaming contracts, which is why only Freakazoid and Histeria! are currently airing. I wouldn't doubt them coming to the network when these contracts expire
-Garfield is unfortunately under the Nickelodeon IP at Viacom, which to me is a death spell for it being licensed to the network. Same with shows from Cartoon Network Studios (beyond being a conflict of interest within WB).
-I would too love to see Hoppity Hooper, and George of the Jungle. Hopefully the network's brings an incentive to make new masters for both shows if/when it happens!

(The Duck Dodgers TV series is still on Boomerang...for now, though only on weekends.)
