Okay no race stuff. Any one know if I Love To Singa or Freddy The Freshman, or Lady Play Your Mandolin have ever aired on MeTV or if they're scheduled to?

Why not look for guides to previous episodes yourself and use Ctrl + F if you want to find out quickly what aired before? Like here , or here ? You can see I Love to Singa has aired just once.

Also, on a much more general note, none of this recent discussion has gone anywhere, so can all you folks please just pipe down, cut it out with the repeated "oh let's keep bringing up the possibility of them airing racist cartoons but also not go any further than that" backtracking, and wait until there is actual news before you clutter this thread with any more of these posts? Thanks.

On today's "Fan-Tastic Fridays" show, a viewer seemed to request the show, based on their description, "The Ace of Space"(1953). Instead (as I somehow predicted), they showed the other Popeye spaced theme short, "Rocket to Mars" (1946). I'm guessing Warners didn't supply METV a print of the former yet.

From what I am aware of, “Lady, Play Your Mandolin!” also aired, but only on the MeTV+ exclusive “Sunday Night Cartoons” block as of yet. “Freddy the Freshman” hasn’t aired yet, on the other hand.

Also, I was pressured into answering the user’s questions, as they either weren’t aware of a few things, or simply were wondering what happened on the network.

My friend on Discord occasionally makes the same mistake (at least, from what I remember, twice; I have corrected him and ever since, he now understands) mentioned over here. But yeah, WB handles the restoration work for the “Looney Tunes” shorts, not HBO Max or MeTV. People are actually prone to mistake (like on YouTube; but I don’t blame them) that these two companies are involved with the restoration work, when that’s not the case, as they provide copies of the cartoons airing instead.

If Freddy The Freshman airs do you think they will edit out the cheerleader scene?

More importantly, can you please stop asking inane questions about whether this or that will air, be censored, etc.? At this point, we'll know when we know - enough said. (what is even wrong with that scene??)

And for that matter, do not double-post in the future. If you have anything to add and no one else has said anything yet, just edit your first post.

Honeymoon Hotel's restoration aired yesterday; It almost looks like the Turner print in HD, but with digital elements. Still, nice restoration.

Meanwhile, Of Fox and Hounds aired unrestored this morning; They aired the EU Turner print in NTSC speed.

Just... atrocious. They were having luck with pre-1948 one-shot shorts. How did they mess this up? I'm literally astonished with this news, really I am.

"Honeymoon Hotel" is fine.

But doesn't this mark Willoughby's first appearance on MeTV?

I don't think so, as they have already aired "The Crackpot Quail" and "The Heckling Hare".

Did the Heckling Hare have the lost ending, or was it cut? If it was cut did it have Willoughby's "Ya" line?

...I'm sorry, but do you have any common sense? If that ending had even surfaced, cartoon fans all over would be raving about it by now.

One more question like this, and you're gone. I'm very, very tired of dealing with this kind of nonsense.

Toadette your so rude. This is for cartoons. And that's what JaKlamm09 was talking about. I support him 100%. I don't know if Willoughby's line was left in sorry.

Wow. Did you really think you could get away with posting under a different username in an attempt to drum up fake support, when your IP address on both these accounts is *exactly* the same? Goodbye.

On that note, after consulting with both Poppy and eutychus, we have decided to take the harsh decision of locking this thread altogether. There seems to be no further MeTV news in sight, and with a handful of exceptions, most of the discussion over the past several weeks has been a broken record of unwarranted speculation, silly questions, and repeated advisories from both Poppy and me. It's time to end this cycle for good - we will consider re-opening it if anyone trustworthy DMs us that something truly significant has happened.
