Even though full 1080p Blu-ray screenshots would've been more welcome compared to the 480p DVD screenshots shared here, these restorations still look fantastic! No wonder why I put both this volume and volume two (which I unfortunately didn't get the chance to purchase over the summer) on my Christmas list for this year.

Shout! Factory/Republic/Universal/whoever owns the distribution rights to the Noveltoons/Little Audrey shorts, take note! (What I just typed was literally what I thought immediately after I saw this screenshot)

So that means we have to wait for 10 years?

I think that now we've approached the 1950's, I think it'll be wise for Warner Archive to release the rest of them in a set or two. Considering the general consensus on these cartoons, I don't think that the sales on these 50's sets will be as high as they are now.
Though I am rather indifferent to many of the 1950's cartoons, I am kinda excited to see the public domain entries I saw on tape as a kid restored with the proper colors and better PQ.

While there hasn't been an announcement yet, why assume (already) that they will take a break? Volume 3 was released in the middle of last month. Still plenty of time to announce another volume for the spring of 2020.

No. I think it will be more like a year or so.

I was watching Pre-Hysterical Man and I noticed that there are two identical small flickers of light that appear on the title card during the intro, which make it look as if it just faded in from the credit listings. I compared this to an upload of the A.A.P. print of the short on Dailymotion and not only does it fade to the title later than the remastered version does, the title is on screen for a shorter duration of the music. Was there some sort of reconstruction of the film negative that took place which required some frames to be repeated in the intro? This short's intro holds on the title card longer than any of the others on this set, so it just got me thinking that this may be a possibility.

As mentioned in another topic, Jerry Beck said on Stu's Show last Wednesday that the Warner Archive team is taking a break from Popeye at the moment. So, no 1950's Popeye release in the next few months.

I hope not. Jerry mentioned both a Warner Archive release in February as well as a Warner Home Video release approximately around that time, too. Both animated titles. But, he didn't say what those releases would be. They're a mystery:)
