Did anyone know the first two 1940s color volumes are already out on iTunes and Amazon Video? In full HD too.

Volume 1 - Amazon  and iTunes
Volume 2 - Amazon  and iTunes

It should be noted that the iTunes and Amazon Video versions are incomplete. Vol. 1 is missing “Pop-Pie a la Mode” and Vol. 2 is missing “The Island Fling”.

As it is, I think the majority of us chose to buy physical copies anyway, but I thought I should warn those who may have a preference for digital media over physical media.

Ahaaa... of course they are. I didn't notice that. The "Adult collector" warnings which take up the entirety of Amazon's presentations are not enough to let "Pop-Pie a la Mode" loose on the internet. Yup... this is another reason why physical releases of cartoons like these are extremely important.

What survives of the original end title music for "For Better or Nurse" sounds about the same as the original end title music for "Tops in the Big Top", which survives, so WB could have used that.

WB can boast that they used the restoration team that worked on Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz to restore the Popeye cartoons. But they need someone who knows something about Popeye cartoons to act as a consultant so these mistakes don't keep happening. (Not properly fixing the out-of-sync soundtrack during the big fight scene in Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves is probably the most glaring example.)

WB completely replacing the original end title music of "All's Fair at the Fair" with the end title music from "Olive Oyl For President" is aggravating as well. I assume it was done because of the audio glitch in the original end title music. But the aap print of "All's Fair at the Fair that I recorded off WTBS in the late 1980's did not have that glitch in the end title music. Another case of a mistake being made because WB doesn't have someone who knows something about Popeye cartoons acting as a consultant/adviser.

Hello Bobby, please try not to make consecutive posts within a short amount of time unless there's something like an urgent announcement that can't be conveyed with a quick edit. I've merged the posts here for you, but please keep this in mind next time.
