I'm making this topic because lately those Mr. Piper cartoons on my Mill Creek public domain cartoon collections have intrigued me lately. Sure, they're not the best looking cartoons, and the animation is very ultra-limited, but they've intrigued me nonetheless. Plus, me being me, that backing music; very woodwind-dominant; intrigues me. At times I can't tell if the cartoons used library or if they were given original scores, some of the cues appear to have been reused from cartoon to cartoon.

Here's all I know about them (along with some theories and suspicions):
-they're definitely Canadian of origin, as I've heard Billie "Rudolph" Richards in quite a few of these, and a quick search for "Mr. Piper" on the Google states that were made in '63, but I'm not sure where this information came from, could be bogus for all I know.
-Martin Andrews and Allan Wargon created the series.
-"Mr. Piper" himself, who introduces each cartoon? Opera tenor Alan Crofoot was the fat guy in the piper outfit.
-apparently originally aired on the CBC, supposedly played on some stations in the UK as well in the 70s.
-the animation might've been provided by Crawley Films (Tales of the Wizard of Oz), but I can't confirm this.
-it seems these were part of a longer program, and that Productions Unlimited outfit receiving the sole credits on the (washed out, I might add) prints in my collection might've distributed the cartoon segments non-commercially (in schools, etc.)
-was Pied Piper House a working title for this series, and they changed in at the last minute?

Any additional information and confirmation to these suspicions are appreciated.

id say the bit about being produced in 1963 is true. here's a snippet from an issue of broadcasting magazine, october 1962. with you saying "it seems these were part of a longer program" that is also true as the snippet states 39 half-hour shows were produced in total.
