As of now, all orders for the finished sets are out! This includes I'm No Fool for IB, Secret Christmas and Award Winners. Other sets are still in progress.

As mentioned a few days back on Blu-ray,com, here is another 'Special set'. I've been flooded with emails from that post saying to do this one, and it looks like the local Telecine here is not going to be available at some point next year, so we're getting a few more things done before we can't!

This set is "1973 Animated Feature" and features a rare original release Ib Technicolor 35mm print! Unlike the HD currently available, We'll scan this print at Academy aspect ratio (this film was designed to work in both academy and 1:78). No excessive cleanup that removes a good amount of the xeroxed lines the animators left -- We're presenting the film just as it was made.

The set is limited to 65 copies, and is only available through December 31. It's $15.95 plus $3 shipping, $8 shipping to Canada and $12 shipping to other places. If you have other sets on order, *don't include shipping*, I'll cover. Proceeds will go to this scan as well as helping other projects.

Paypal is steves@thunderbeananimation.com. Thanks to all for supporting these things!

Would we be able to know what film it is or is this a surprise?

So I should be watching my mail then. As for the feature, if it is what I think it is, I think I'll pass if that's ok (not a major fan of that one). Somebody else can scramble for that one.

Which one? Two different studios each released a feature film that year.

The use of xeroxgraphy should lead you straight to the fact that it's Disney....

But didn't H-B used some Xerox in their film too?

Steve’s very specific references to “excessive cleanup that removes a good amount of the xeroxed lines the animators left”, along with an already-available HD version that’s in widescreen, are enough indication that it’s *that* unfortunate film—the existing Blu-ray fits both characteristics perfectly. (Charlotte’s Web has yet to receive an HD release of any kind.)

For the record, Bakshi’s Heavy Traffic was also 1973.

It's about a story where furry critters enact a folklore story whose opening song was the face of a viral fad on the internet involving hamsters. The title, cutting off the last word, is the last name of a character in Winnie the Pooh named Christopher.

As you can see from the original post, this was only available through December 31. Please don't bump posts where the offer has long since passed. Thanks!
