In a surprising move, Disney has finally released the 4th, final, and long-awaited volume of the original DuckTales on DVD exclusively available through the Disney Movie Club!:

On the cover (via disneymovierewards.go ), it says "Anniversary Edition DVD". Yes, I suppose this IS perfect timing for the show's, uh, 31st anniversary...

Not sure if it's actually been released yet though, it sounds like the commenter on the blu-ray.com forum is guessing. And the listing on disneymoviewards.go doesn't link to a product site for the set (unlike many of the other releases listed there). But glad to see it's getting released in any case.

Really surpriced they actually have separate trays for all the three discs. The earlier Gargoyles and Goof Troop DMC releases were packaged so cheaply that they had all three discs stacked on top of each other (which I believe is also the case for the subsequent retail releases of those sets).

These are not the best episodes, but I like to see anything like this finally get some completion, however late. Then there are the things that never get released at all.
