Mods' editing of the filmography posts - Forum.

Toonatic and Looney Tunes Fan, the creators of most of the home video filmography listings on the respective board, sometimes don't keep up with news on upcoming and recently released home videos.

Because of this, I'd like to make it a rule that moderators can freely edit the filmography posts to add or edit additional information. I know that moderators can technically edit everyone's posts, which is why my question may sound oblivious to this feature, but I don't want to come across as rude by editing someone's post without prior warning.

Thoughts?

I don't quite get what you're trying to ask and also what the issue in particular you are trying to bring up is.

I certainly don't have an issue with it as long as it's okay with the OP.

That's exactly the problem; the OPs haven't been active for a while, so if I ask them upfront, I don't know whether I'll ever receive a reply.

Use your best judgement then, if you contact them and they don't respond, or if they haven't been active on the site in a month, I would consider the post fair game.

It's up to the user to keep their info updated and to keep track of a thread if they want to claim ownership of it. I have one researcher who is about to miss out on their Christmas present because they don't have a valid email address here anymore and hasn't replied to any private messages.

I am still active here, even though I don't post much anymore. I mainly just pop in to see what everyone's posting about and such.

I try my very best to keep both the Looney Tunes and Walter Lantz filmographies updated at all times. As far as I know, both are up-to-date at this very moment. If I have missed something recently, I apologize. I have made posts before stating that I'm perfectly fine with others sharing new information about releases either in their respective threads or via PM. Users have done this (and I am very thankful for it), and I always try to update the filmographies with their information as soon as possible.

I'm not trying to be rude when saying this, I just wanted to state that I'm still here and ready and willing to keep both of my filmographies up-to-date. 🙂
