I have been debating whether or not to get the Boomerang app for my tablet. Is it worth the money?

I haven't gotten it myself but I've seen it. Selection seems pretty decent. 7-day free trial and only $5/month. Subscribe or cancel anytime you want. Why not?

Although I would not use it to binge-watch a show, due to the fact that it is missing episodes and some of them are cut, it's quite handy if you are on the go and want an easy-to-access interface full of cartoons.

I once saw my brother upload this app on one of his camp's devices on my last day there. Judging by what I saw, I would say it would be a great purchase, but it requires five dollars a month, which I would highly recommend you check wisely.

If you're looking for some material that haven't made it to the Looney Tunes Golden/Platinum Collections and the Hanna-Barbera DVDs, as well as the shorts featured on the first two Super Stars DVDs in their correct aspect ratio, I highly recommend it!

Kinda wish you did not have to subscribe to Boomerang separately even if you bought the package that contained Boomerang and a few other channels.

Boomerang also has all the Garfield TV specials. They don't have "Garfield and Friends", though as I believe Starz has current distribution rights. Some episodes are on their "On Demand" service.

Well that's sort of a bummer, but at least they are also on DVD (although the Garfield & Friends episode are international versions where the US Acres are called Orson's Farm, and season 7's intro is replaced by the "Come On In" theme from seasons 3-6).

Has anyone made a list of the cartoons that you can access with this app that are not on any DVD or Blu-ray sets?

In addition, there are several Famous Popeye cartoons and MGM Barney Bear cartoons which have never been released on DVD or Blu-Ray.

While they are already on DVD, the rest of the Pepe Le Pew cartoons have been added. Hopefully, that means more Looney Tunes aren't far behind to be on the site.

I wonder if "Mouse in The House", "The Milky Way" and "Truce Hurts" are uncut on the app.

Last time I used the Boomerang app, I didn't see those cartoons listed. Were they added recently?

The "classic" Tom & Jerry cartoons are split into four "volumes", all of which are organized weirdly. Volumes 1 and 2 are most of the Hanna-Barbera and Deitch theatrical shorts with the odd Chuck Jones short or Tex Avery one-shot mixed in, Volume 3 is the remaining Jones shorts followed by shorts from Filmation's The Tom & Jerry Comedy Show, and Volume 4 is shorts from Hanna-Barbera's 1975 The Tom & Jerry Show with two random classic Hanna-Barbera theatrical shorts tossed in.

One oddity I've noticed: the Chuck Jones Tom and Jerry cartoons are presented in full-frame rather than the cropped widescreen versions used on the North American "Chuck Jones Collection" DVD. (Here's an example comparing the DVD and Boomerang versions of "Filet Meow" I posted on my Twitter ) If that interests you, I'd say it's worth getting the service for those.

From what I can tell all the "classic" T&Js on the service use either the Golden Collection restorations, DVD restorations, or old Turner prints. The Boomerang copies of the Chuck Jones Tom & Jerry cartoons have slightly more contrast and are a tiny less bright.

As of March 2, 2018, the cartoons in these four "classic" volumes are:
