I'm quite glad to hear that Amid Amidi decided to look for another, non-Disney-influenced publisher for such a promising book after all:

I remember the aftermath of the news that Disney wouldn't publish. Nearly every Disney-related post he wrote had him hitting the Mouse with a sledgehammer.

Glad it's finally getting made.

Yeah, not only did he killed any plans for an update on his Pixar Shorts book, but also destroyed the partnership with Jerry Beck. Thus, leaving the blog heartless.

...uh, what?? Where did you hear that about his partnership with Jerry? I've never seen that stated anywhere as the reason for Jerry's departure from Cartoon Brew.

Cartoon Brew is notorious for blog owner Amid's very opinionated, cynical tone on certain posts.

It wasn't stated, but when he first posted the news Disney rejected his book, he bashed a D23 event that Jerry Beck, the blog's co-founder, was a moderator on. Is that respectful?
