Hi all,

I heard this on the radio recently, and it's been bugging me that I can't identify the samples being used. I'm pretty sure they're from Looney Tunes:

Any ideas?

Thanks!

That's easy to answer, my friend. These samples used in the song came from the Bugs Bunny short "Hillbilly Hare."

Ah! That's where I knew thme...the long was by Doris Day and sadly forgotten Buddy Clark, who died the same way and ten years before another coincidentally named Buddy, Holly did, in a plane crashed (and neither are to be confused with Buddy the cartoon character, either.)

Columbia label (for DD/BC version)

Fun song.

Thanks! I'm sure I've had these riffs looping round my head many times before. Really nice samples to use. I'll have to watch the cartoon this week.

Hillbilly Hare is on Bugs Bunny's Easter Funnies, a video tape I had as a child which is very much engrained in my head. I ended up checking out the wrong cartoons. I had a look at Bully for Bugs and Tweety's Circus. Would have got there eventually!
