Maybe either I didn't get my earlier post that I did published or it was deleted but...Many know him as Scrooge McDuck in the Mickey's Christmas Carol record/cartoon and DuckTales and other Scrooge McDuck projects. But an older generation like me knows him as straight man Wilbur Post to Mr.Ed, still older know him as a largely radio comic character actor or star..ALAN YOUNG died earlier this month. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Alan got his first big US hit on the 1939-1949? radio sitcom the Alan Young show when he really was young, with a considerablyh older Jim Backus (1913-1989), then later played in the George Pal "tom thumb"(sic) in 1958 (movie) then in Filmways-MGM Mr.Ed (1961-1965), then since 1974 has been known as Scrooge McDuck, through the 1983 cartoon and 1987 DuckTales and later..was even in Ren and Stimpy at least once..RIP.

Hello Pokey J.Anti-Blockhead,
If you're wondering where your thread was, I moved it to the existing Alan Young thread in the General Discussion part of the boards:
http://www.intanibase.com/forum/posts/t2616findunread-R-I-P--Alan-Young
I posted a public post in that same thread notifying you about it, but apparently I didn't take into account that perhaps not everybody reads every section of the board. Sorry for the confusion.
