Hoped and knew Warner would do something to coincide with the upcoming Peanuts movie!:

http://www.tvshowsondvd....Honored-Collection/21057

All remastered and here's the rundown (and why you should double-dip)!:

First time on DVD:
-What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown?
-Why, Charlie Brown, Why?

Already on DVD, first time remastered!!!:
-She's a Good Skate, Charlie Brown
-Someday You'll Find Her, Charlie Brown
-Is this Goodbye, Charlie Brown?
-It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown
-Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown

Already on DVD, already remastered:
-You're the Greatest, Charlie Brown
-It's Magic, Charlie Brown
-Life is a Circus, Charlie Brown
-You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown

Surprised though It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is not included. Still, great line-up, great material, great reason to buy!!! So excited!!!

So they're touting these are "all-new 4K Ultra HD transfers" and only releasing a DVD? Hmm...

EDIT: Not wanting to sound too negative on this news, I'm glad we're finally getting more remastered Peanuts specials on DVD, I just find it a little weird that Warner would commission 4k transfers with no immediate plan of any sort of HD release to coincide with the DVD release.

Uhh..ok...I don't think Life is A Circus Charlie Brown's been remastered (I could be wrong)

There are a lot of specials like Thanksgiving or Christmas that are excluded as well, but WB and Peanuts releases them like crazy anyways, so why complain?

Don't know if it was a mistake or a reschedule, but I picked up a copy at Target this morning!

Really? How are the 4k scans? Did they overdo it?

When the screenshots come in, we'll find out. And then we'll gripe about it.

I was going to do some screenshots later this week... haven't had the chance to really look at it yet. Was there a particular episode you wanted to check out first?

The newly-remastered ones, both double-dip and new-to-DVD.

I also wonder if the "Flashbeagle" is the current version or the original broadcast with the added video effects towards the end of the title song climax .

(hint; look at the various screens)

OMG! If that's the case, I better call my Target store, see if they got it in!

UPDATE 8/17: OK, I can confirm; Target is selling this early for a limited time!!!

And yours truly got it there tonight!!!:

PS. The transfers look absolutely spectacular! Plus, 5.1 sound (though hang on to your previous releases if you want the original Mono tracks)!!! 😃

In all honesty, I'm not quite sure what to think. Judging from the screenshots, the transfer is inconsistent; some of the screenshots seem to feature mild grain structure, with 19 and 20 even having cel dust (at least that's what I think it is), and others have none at all (instead, you get nasty DVD/JPEG compression artifacting); the Clorox cleansing is particularly noticeable on 17. The only way to know for sure would be to see the transfer in action.

The colors are nice.

Got the early bird release Target had last weekend.

i agree with Toadette about the colors.

however the main titles go by a jump cut although no sponsors were advertised in the context of the special unlike the 60s specials. it happened after the fade out

here's the the example for the one I saw that had that issue:

Edit- i guess some of these were originally broadcast that way. with the jump cut....
