Yeah, this idea is kind of weird. I'm surprised they are bringing back Jonny Quest for a project. The animation (as seen in the trailer) is okay, I can give you that.

The animation always tends to be good in these Spike Brandt-Tony Cervone DTVs.

The concept...I can't say I approve. But I can think of worse ways WB could reintroduce Jonny Quest...

What? Tom & Jerry meet Jonny Quest? They seem out of place with Jonny Quest in my opinion. Jonny Quest is a more serious animated series while Tom & Jerry is a comedy cartoon series, so having them together in this film is out of place.

What's next Tom & Jerry meet Space Ghost or Birdman? My head hurts.

Maybe a crossover of the Looney Tunes with the MGM characters would be more appropriate?

Though I will admit this is a unique idea. First we get the Flintstones meeting the WWF wrestlers, and now this.

Yeah, and not just in film or TV media either.

Anyway, that doesn't look bad. However, I still want to know who's the writer for this.

Even a crossover with Top Cat would be better. At least they have talking cats.

Agreed! THAT would be fun.
Or my idea of the MGM stars (Tom, Jerry, Droopy, Red Hot Riding Hood, and the rest) meeting the Looney Tunes characters. Since they're both under the same ownership now, AND Tex Avery worked with both, it could work.

Well, would you rather have Warners released "Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet the Groovie Goulies" instead? All I'm saying is it could be worse.

Well I have thought of the new H-B reboots (which I did a topic on this forum) to have some Looney Tunes characters. Like one cartoon where Dickdasterly and Muttley going against Bugs Bunny in a race, one with Quick Draw Mcgraw battling against the bull from Bully For Bugs, and one starring Hokey Wolf trying to get rid of the ram (from I Got Plenty Of Mutton) to eat the sheep.

So apparently, crossovers are the only way to bring exposure to certain classic cartoon characters to the general public these days.

What? Tom and Jerry and Jonny Quest? That's like, the worst combination ever...

Worse than the Looney Tunes with the Groovie Goolies? I'm not sure anything could be worse than loaning the Looney Tunes off to one of the corniest animation studios in history and combining them with awful characters.

Or if we're talking in-studio product, well...[daffy][speedy]

But I'd prefer they did a stand-alone Jonny Quest DTV, if at all.

Okay, you hit me there. Looney Tunes meets the Groovy Goolies was pretty horrible...

But this combination won't work. Jonny Quest is an action show and Tom and Jerry is a slapstick show. They are separate franchises with separate target audiences. It. Won't. Work.

I'm with you Combinator, to me Tom & Jerry are out of place in the movie. You can't make a movie that features 2 different cartoons (both serious and comedy) and make a crossover like this, you would ruin the original cartoon series that was more serious.

Well, I wouldn't mind an animated adaption of Mark Eviner's Looney Tunes and DC crossover 4 part mini-series with Bruce Timm helping out.
