Well, I was looking at the UK equivalent of Nickelodeon, Boomerang and NickToons and I noticed there are quite a few differences!

For one, we don't have much Animé on Nick Toons and a lot of the day is just Spongebob re-runs.

US Nickelodeon has Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, Full House, How I Met your Mother, George Lopez and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air at night, none of which we have.

BTW, we still get Oggy and the Cockroaches here and uncut Rocko's Modern Life when they bother to show it.

I was surprised to see airing of Oggy and the Cockroaches on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons when I looked on the guide (I have Dish Network satellite). Because I thought the show ended in the late 90's or the early 2000's after Fox Kids canceled the show. It wasn't until I got internet that I found out new episodes were still being made but were only aired in the UK until now.

Pop showed Oggy for a while, but when the newer episodes were made, Nickelodeon took over.

As far as I know, we still have Oggy, despite what that article says. Still on Nick.com's schedule and it's still on Nick's website.

Looking at that Oggy article, I'm somewhat relieved that there's never been a similar backlash (at least not that I know of) in reaction to similar such nude background objects in the Warner Bros. cartoons (like Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears, Awful Orphan, and The Dover Boys).

They don't get backlash, because they're "classics". Oggy on the other hand is much newer.
