From what I've heard, Looney Tunes aren't even airing in the UK anymore. Hence my saying "might have been" rather than "might be".

They're not airing because it was the same old stuff being shown. :/

Plus they'd be higher quality than the 240p Youtube archive videos.

Seriously, would you just leave Warner Bros. alone?

They've had enough......those suits have lives, y'know?

What? I'm not contacting them or harassing them, so what's the problem?

You're not bugging them directly, but all of your complaints is taking a toll out of Warner Bros.

Especially when you guys protested about the censorship of T&J GC V2

Or DVNR in certain LTMMs.

Seriously?

On issues like censorship (on an allegedly uncensored set!), DNR, and inferior prints (or restorations that ruin any original intent), complaints are justifiable. If the home video distributors make promises of high quality, they should actually fulfill them.

It's when the complaints reach threatening levels, or are related to non-issues, that they become problems.

So "you guys" = me now? I don't care about TJGC2 and DVNR is a real issue with some cartoons. I wish you wouldn't generalize everyone and at least look stuff up before blaming fans for "bulling" a corporation.

As for Duck Amuck versus Rabbit Ramapge, c'mon! I love to see BUGS BUNNY LOSE once in a while!!!!! 😃 [bugs]

Wasn't there supposed to be a censored 11 DVD?

Yes, but it hasn't been released, and for a reason.

Then why is it fine to release Mickey's Man Friday on DVD and all of the super racist characters in Floyd Gottfredson's Mickey Mouse strips?

That's a different story.

It's because Disney added a From The Vault section on their later Walt Disney Treasure waves so people will know to either not show their kids those cartoons, or to avoid getting offended. But for WB, they are too scared to offend people and to get a lot of controversies from everybody.

The only exceptions are the cartoons that contain some stereotype gags (except for the 2 or 3 [tom] and [jerry] cartoons) and the World War II cartoons.

What you should know is that Disney and WB are different on their DVD/Blu Ray releases of cartoons that contain black stereotypes.

But even Disney has some stuff that they just refuse to release at all, like an uncensored "Fantasia" or "Song of the South".

OK let's get back on topic.

I don't know why there isn't enough satisfaction for Looney Tunes DVDs. You want more more, MOAR!

Because only about half were released and restored on DVD and Blu-Ray. If 75-80% were on DVD/Blu-Ray, then I wouldn't have such a problem, but even now there are Bugs Bunny cartoons not even available outside of dailymotion.

Well, obviously. What's difficult to understand about cartoon fans wanting as many cartoons as possible to be released officially? Of course we don't want them to be left languishing in a vault!

I have been saying this ever since Warner Archive was launced, but nope they allways seems to find way to release 1970s or 1980s Hanna-Barbera insteed and I don't know way.

You are not a moderator.

The discussion beforehand was related to the lack of Warner Bros. cartoons on the market right now; in this case, we were discussing how censorship being committed not only by WB but by Disney has kept certain things away from a home video release. If a topic is indeed going too far off track, us moderators will deal with it.

I'm really surprised that some MMs like I Wanna Play House and Billboard Frolics weren't on any DVDs. BF introduces Merrily We Roll Along and IWPH is the first MM with Rings.

Outside of those elements, those two cartoons aren't particularly noteworthy; they're basically typical mid-1930s Merrie Melodies.
