Recently, I've bought the early 80's VHS of Bugs Bunny's 3rd Movie 1001 Rabbit Tales from Amazon, but it's not the copy I remembered seeing when I was a kid. It's pretty much the same copy without the cut sequence of Bugs telling the story of Little Bo Peep which features the cartoon "A Sheep in the Deep" with Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog. I honestly DID see a copy of the movie with that sequence intact when I rented the movie once at the now defunct Hollywood Video.
Not only the version I saw had "A Sheep in the Deep," but there were some small differences on the presentations of the cartoons. Like the opening didn't have Granny, Porky and Slowpoke ,the scene from Cracked Quack when Daffy talks to the stuffed duck was shortened, and Goldimouse and the Three Cats was severely edited (removing the scenes when Goldimouse finds a bed to sleep on, and almost every scene of Sylvester trying to catch Goldimouse were all deleted only leaving the scene where Sylvester lighting up dynamite on the cheese then cuts to where Sylvester Jr. and his mother walking out).
The clam shell case saids the movie is 76 min. long, but the tape itself instead saids 74 min. long. If there's anyone who has an 80's copy of the film with that sequence intact, reply to me anytime.
Update: I realized that the copy I rented with "A Sheep in the Deep" was actually a bootleg copy. Somebody must of recorded the film's airing on the Disney Channel in the 90's and sold it to Hollywood Video. The sticker label from the original tape was on their, but was sort of pealing off. So pretty much I was ripped off back then, but now that I have the real tape, I can guess that the sequence I've mentioned was cut from the original release so I consider it a deleted scene.
