As I recall, the "answer prints" bit was with regard to "restorations" of the cartoons, not to the existence of the original titles.

Might have misheard, my bad. I thought I heard Jerry say something to the effect that more original titles were uncovered in the Columbia vaults than the ones restored for Totally Tooned In, though that could have been in reference to the Krazy Kat cartoons shown by ASIFA. In any case, it's interesting to hear colour materials on the Mintz Barney Googles apparently survive; now the question remains: will these ever be made available in some form? Ditto the Fleischer UCLA restorations.

[code]I knew it. Like I said before, WB has no remastered budget for to remaster more classic Looney Tunes. WB is only doing double dips from now on until they have enough for the restoration budget which won't happen until in a long time.

Why on earth would Warner have more money for restoring old cartoons many years into the future than what they have now?

The reason Warner Bros. decided to put money into the Tom and Jerry Golden Collection sets and the Looney Tunes Platinum sets was, the Blu-ray market was rising and they decided the sets had a good chance of MAKING money. They didn't just happen to have a "restoration budget" which just happened to have saved up enough money by that point in time. Warner is a huge corporation. It spends money with the goal of making money.

Note: My real name is Tony McCarson.

After I listened to the 8/5/2015 episode of "Stu's Show",
I sent Jerry Beck my e-mail about my e-mail that I have sent to "Stu's Show",
& Jerry Beck's review of “Shaun the Sheep Movie”:

“Dear Jerry Beck,

On 8/5/2015, I was listening to “Stu’s Show”, & Stu says that
he has already read my e-mail (although Stu did not say what the text of my e-mail says in this episode),
& then Stu says that you & Stu already talked about the dvd & blu-ray news, & I understand.

So here is my original e-mail for you, that I have sent to “Stu’s Show”:

"Hello Mr. Jerry Beck,

What DVDs & Blu-Rays are you working on at
Warner Archive & Thunderbean?

Signed,
Animation Enthusiast
Tony McCarson"

If you keep any dvd & blu-ray projects a secret,
if you want to answer, I accept.

& after I heard what you said about the
“Shaun the Sheep Movie” on that same episode of “Stu’s Show”,
I want to know, do you highly recommend this movie?
(I did not watch this movie in theaters yet.)

Signed,
Tony McCarson”

& here is Jerry Beck’s reply:

Jerry Beck:
"I highly recommend Shaun The Sheep Movie . Go see it!
And yes I have to keep the DVD projects I'm working on a secret for now.

Sorry

Jerry"
