If you're not going to heavily scrutinise the video quality (which is mostly pretty good for the less picky) or wait for an unlikely Blu-ray release, then yes. iTunes HD (or any HD streaming/download I guess) may be a slight step up from the DVD but it's more restrictive with DRM and whatnot.
