Now I'm curious if the "Paramount Sound Novelty" tag was only used on the Screen Songs..... I'm trying to read the text on the second image but it looks like it's completely unreadable, too dark and it's too blurry. Looks like an 8mm print.

I'm guessing it was used on Screen Songs and very early Talkartoons from 1929-30. Before they started crediting animators.

I believe the text reads "Synchronization and Effects by MUSIC STAFF, Paramount Productions Company"

eBay photos are not usually good indicators of print quality. This looks like it was captured poorly with a cheap cell phone camera while someone was projecting it on a wall. The actual print was probably at least a decently sharp 16mm. I think a friend of mine bought this, unless I'm confusing it with another Screen Song that had original titles...

A 9.5mm Pathescope release of [popeye] with a film stock date of 1939. Looks to be, according to the Pathescope sales chart, not in it's entirety but just a clip from Dizzy Divers. May not be interesting to some people but I'm a fan of 9.5mm home film and Pathescope releases do come around rare on eBay.

A reissue of Three Little Pigs in 35MM IB TECH-- woops, not to get too overexcited. Sadly suffering from VS but according to the shots it doesn't look that bad!

As I said before, I'm not surprised about this print's existence today. But of course Disney only has the original version with its original titles, so pretty much for those who want to track down the reissue print to do a comparison or add to their collection, this is the only way to buy this print.

Actually Disney probably *do* own a reissue print with the reissue titles. On TV in the UK I have seen it air both with original titles and with reissue titles. The reissue titles are not that exciting. As I recall, it's just the typical red burlap you'd expect for the "A Silly Symphony" part. I *think*, but can't be 100% certain without checking, that it still retained the "Three Little Pigs" title card with the circle of musical notes from the original release.

I'm not saying it's important because if it's a reissue but it probably has the unaltered "free sample" audio that was later replaced with "I'm working me way through college!" in the TV and home video edits. Currently the only surfaced copy of the audio comes from a random 1993 CD from Disney that looks like it was recorded in very bad quality.

They're all somewhat shoddy home movie prints likely with no sound, even if they were released theatrically with sound, but...

Extremely rare racist Mutt and Jeff cartoon, check.
Extremely rare Orphan Annie, check.
Likewise an unknown and rare cartoon (Terrytoon from 1931?) about pirates, check.
Rare Pathegrams safety of an unseen Aesop's Fables, "A Bugville Romance", CHECK!

I think that Mutt & Jeff cartoon is “Alone on the South Seas/Aroma of the South Seas.” Strangely, some elements are darker than they should be. Tommy Jose uploaded what I think is that same Little Orphan Annie cartoon to his YouTube account a few years back.

The home movie print in the eBay auction seems to have an extra intertitle, which doesn't show up in this video. Plus the YouTube video's print is horribly unseeable. This one however, is crystal clear for a 16mm safety home print. Now I'm wondering about someone quickly bidding on it....

And before you ask, no, it's not me who's going to buy these. Sorry. :/

I would like to know what was the origin for this oddball cartoon.

16mm Silent of Terrytoons's Toyland, complete with chorus not shown on TV print, including a ending frame saying "Merry Christmas To All" that is skipped over in the footage shown in the later release of "Christmas Cartoon".

I'd still love to actually see a sound version of the Castle Films release though, just to hear that ending chorus.

That negative is really trippy-looking!

Here 's a 16mm IB Tech of "Peter Pan" (1953), complete with original RKO logo; the same seller also has one  of "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" (1949), though no screenshots are included. Needless to say, they're going for a LOT!

Another seller apparently has a 16mm IB Tech reel of "Alice in Wonderland" (1951) , but again, no screenshots are included.

And here 's a 16mm Blue-Track IB Tech of "Frank Duck Brings 'em Back Alive" (1946), complete with original RKO opening title! It'll be sold in about 2 hours.

A good silent print of Tetched in the Head, one of the extremely non-existent Barney Google cartoons which got destroyed due to King Features's 10-year legal requirements.

Also a better print of Jitterbug Knights in IB Technicolor, unlike the circulating online print that suffers from extreme fade.

EDIT: Last thing I'll edit here before I overstuff this post too much.

16mm Commonwealth dupe of Golf Crazy. Might not seem very important to post here, but this one is uncommon. Doesn't seem to show up when searching the internet.
