Question; are we done with Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry on CN?

I'm pretty sure the sped up print of Dough for the Do-do was used for the first time in the Golden Jubilee VHS set. Pretty much anything post 1948 which has colored borders at the beginning was used from that set. Those prints are generally terrible, and also tend to crop the image.

I wouldn't count them out just yet. They were likely just off this week due to some snowstorms forecasted around the country if that guy from ToonZone was correct.

Wait...so Cartoon Network would pre-empt the last classic cartoons on their schedule because of some snowstorms? If that were the case, why not shut down the whole network if the snowstorms affect their programming so much?

Unless, knowing that kids staying home would watch the network, they're deliberately trying to expose the kids to those Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry DTV movies...

With more kids being home, the networks assume that kids don't want to see some "ragged down cartoons from the middle ages" (No, I don't think that, but I'm sure that's the excuse an executive would give).

I said it before and I say it again: I wish TCM had the rights to show classic cartoon shorts again.

Well, Treasures From The Disney Vault is a start. ;)

As for this week's schedule, I'm sorry to say I can't access it.

TCM's rerunning "Treasures from the Disney Vault" next week!? Time to see what I missed!

As for the Cartoon Network schedule, I'm afraid I can't access it either.

Rather disappointing that they are showing just one animated short this time.

Looks like they're still just showing movies this week in place of classic Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes...

It IS Spring Break, after all...and the networks don't want children exposed to those dumb Looney Tunes by low-lifes like Chuck Jones when they easily could show such paragons of art as "Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry" by that creative genius, Sander Schwartz! UserPostedImage

Yep, keeping kids oblivious Warner Bros.' "The Fast and Furry-Ous" from 1949 is more superior than "The Fast and the Furry" from 2005.

Sorry to say this folks, but I can't post any schedules until further notice. Something is screwy with Cartoon's Network's schedule on their site.

Don't worry about it, doesn't seem to be on (or T&J) anyways according to my AT&T U-Verse guide. Just DTV movies and The Tom and Jerry Show.

Maybe what they are dong is making those without boomerang upgrade their channel tiers by removing Looney Tunes from CN?

I'm not sure a lot of people care enough about the Warner Bros. cartoons or Tom and Jerry to get the terrible new Boomerang just for them.

Exactly; and besides, only a small percentage of America's population gets Boomerang anyway.

If only Warner Bros. could license another cable channel to run a Looney Tunes block of sorts, like The Hub/Discovery Kids, or unless Warner decides to make their own The Hub-esque cable channel (a little like that Kids' WB network LuckyToon had the idea for.)

The schedule on the Cartoon Network's site had "Looney Tunes" listed for today shortly before their broadcast in accordance with the schedule.

You know I posted that a week ago right? Either way, I guess it's cool that they put it back on the schedule.
