Back to the subject of early Japanese cartoons, Milton Knight's channel  has quite a few Japanese cartoons as well. Here's one that's also by Noburo Ofuji:


And looking at Knight's playlist "Animated Cartoons" (consisting of stuff not uploaded by him), one of the things I thought upon looking at it was, "How did the Blue Racer end up in there?" (He's more of a guilty pleasure than anything an artist like Knight should be influenced by...in any event, seeing him grouped alongside Terrytoons, episodes of Batfink, "The Ragtime Bear", various foreign films (including a North Korean propaganda film!), and various Looney Tunes clips is bizarre.)

In memory of B.B. King's recemt passing, here's him covering "Joe Cool" from 70s Peanuts specials. This one's more upbeat than the Guarldi original

Aquarela do Brasil with Donald Duck not the whole short but this video has the usual Donald Duck intro and has a title card and also at the end of the video is what I think (If I'm not mistaken) the orginal end card for saludos aimgos!

Judging from the RKO logo at the very beginning, this must have come from 1954, at the very earliest. (A 35mm IB Tech of "The Simple Things" (1953) with original titles that went on eBay some time ago had the RKO credit on the "Mickey Mouse" title card, as was typical for shorts made before then; the separate RKO logo was a reflection of how Disney had been crediting RKO on the features for years, as well as its self-made Buena Vista Distribution around the same time.)

The credits are interesting in hinting at the short's feature-length origins, with separate credits for character and effects animation. Was Bill Tytla ever credited over the burlap titles?

Pretty sure this version of Aquarela do Brazil must be the 1955 reissue. Yes, it's interesting that there is a separate RKO card at the very beginning, but no mention of RKO on the burlap "A Walt Disney Donald Duck" card. However, this isn't surprising since this short was among the very last RKO reissues. I believe that from 1956 onwards, all reissues would be from Buena Vista.

For the earlier 1954 season, all the reissues were shorts from the compilations features. All these shorts were released by RKO except for Willie the Operatic Whale which I think must have been the very first BV reissue.

Pretty cool to see the original ending title of Saludos Amigos on the stand alone version of Aquarela do Brasil. It's too bad the current copy of Saludos Amigos is only the reissue from I believe the 60's.

The complete version of Feather Pushers (1926). Well, it has no opening or ending titles and it’s at a higher frame rate than the version on Ray Pointer's Krazy Kat Kartoon Klassics DVD (since silent movies are made to be played at most any framerate, it doesn’t make much difference anyhow), but this copy restores approx. a minute and a half of missing footage at the beginning and a scene between the “criminal as a tiger” scene and Krazy landing on an Indian reservation. It also seems to be sourced from the same source that Nelson Hughes’ “The Frolics That Finished” print was from, since in the middle there’s a “Last week, Krazy…” recap like the one in the “Frolics” copy.
