Finally, another Scrappy cartoon! Wow, pretty low contrast picture there. Still a nice transfer, though.

Some great stuff on this set, I see. Looking forward to it. I wonder what cartoon the frame of the Marx brothers in boy scout (?) outfits is from.

By the way, did you see the email I sent you on March 28th? Just want to know that you saw it.

Got mine today as well. Unfortunately, it looks like the Blu-ray disc I got is a coaster (the DVD works fine). My Blu-ray drive is failing to read any data on the disc at all. The last two special Blu-ray discs work fine.

I'm hoping there wasn't a bad batch of discs.. all verified fine.. but now I'm a little worried...

The same problem was reported on the Blu-ray.com forum.

Might wanna disguise your email address  a bit, Steve. Typing it plainly like that makes it vulnerable to being harvested by spam bots.

Another Blu-Ray failure, but I am enjoying the DVD.

It did seem that one of the cartoons, involving a sailor relating a childhood story to his sweetie (wink, wink), has some edits to the continuity. Am I correct in thinking that or was the DVD skipping?

The Blu Ray didn't work for me either (the disc wasn't recognized at all). But then I tried it in an external BD-R drive and that was able to read it.

The print has several splices, including a couple of considerable chunks of footage missing from the body of the cartoon, so perhaps that is what you noticed. The opening titles must also be incomplete, as the opening Paramount and Popeye titles were taken from an earlier cartoon and digitally edited on.

So I sat down to watch this tonight, and I noticed that the file on my Blu-Ray disc is corrupted at around the 4:40 mark in the first cartoon.

Several of the frames look like this:

The problem is definitely on the source disc. It seems to be a problem with the BDMV/STREAM/00001.m2ts file itself, rather than with the Blu Ray media. Are everyone else's copies messed up, or is it just mine?
