Back then, they said it would premiere on Cartoon Network, but we will see. And I wouldn't give a crap about this show anyways.

I'm sticking with the original 2D animated series made by DIC.

Um, no we won't, actually. The new news (in my link) are definite. The Inspector Gadget reboot will not premiere on Cartoon Network in the U.S. after all. As I say in my blog post, that is outdated information.

This is interesting. I already did see the first episode (a friend showed me), and it was pretty neat. Maybe not as good as the original series's first season, but to me it's a step up above "Gadget and the Gadgetinis."

Since the Gadgetinis is the only incarnation of Inspector Gadget never to see US broadcast, Mind giving us a point by point essay as to what's wrong with "Gadget and the Gadgetinis"?

It wasn't THAT bad, but it still had its problems, like replacing Brain with the two Gadgetinis, Chief Quimby with Colonel Nozzaire, and the characterization of Dr. Claw was rather stupid (also showing his mother), the animation wasn't that great at times, and the episode that DID have Brain made him be a paranoid wreck due to the trauma of saving Gadget.

While the new series' does seem to be going for a more comic Dr. Claw approach again (hopefully not as bad), the rest of the series shows more promise. I enjoyed the first episode, explaining the new Gadgets and such. A PERFECT way to start the reboot. Plus, it's got really good CGI animation, which is rare on TV cartoons nowadays.

Penny looks a lot older in this version.
