Special programming on President's Day too. I'm glad they are paying more attention to this channel now--Wally Gator, Yogi spinoffs, movies they haven't shown in awhile, finally getting into S3 of the Flintstones, going from the 60s Jonny Quest to now the 80s version, special programming on holidays. That said, there is still a lot of HB I'm assuming they still have rights too that I hope will show up on the schedule that haven't been shown in a long time.

This is what my cable TV box's guide lists for the voice cast for I Yabba Dabba Doo!:

Joseph Barbera
Michael Bell
Charlie Brill
Greg Burson
Ruth Buzzi

No Henry Corden, Jean Vander Pyl, Frank Welker or Don Messick. (Though I could understand Sally Struthers not wanting to reprise her role as Pebbles. I don't know about Jay North reprising his role as Bamm Bamm.) The only thing I can think of is that they took the first five names from an alphabetical list of the voice cast.

(Also, I saw the end credits of Top Cat while going through the guide. What a mess. Modern titles superimposed over the original animation, the end credits were sped up, and the image flickered. I hope the DVD set isn't like this.)

EDIT: I watched the end credits from a B & W network print of Top Cat on YouTube. I guess the flickering is supposed to be there. But not everything else.

Also, I watched an entire episode of Top Cat on my cable TV's "on demand". In addition to the messed-up end credits, I heard at least three characters voiced by Don Messick (including a dog that did the famous Don Messick snicker) in this episode. But his name wasn't in the end credits. I wonder if WB just slapped the same end credits on every episode of Top Cat? Also it looks like sometimes Top Cat hanging a "Do Not Disturb" on his garbage can at the end is missing, sometimes it isn't. Again, I hope the DVD set isn't like this.

Some minor tweaks to Boomerang's weekday schedule starting tomorrow, February 20th:

What's New, Scooby Doo? replaces Popeye at 2:30 PM.
Scooby Doo, Where Are You? replaces the first half of the hourlong Popeye block at 10:30 PM.
What's New, Scooby Doo? (same episode that aired at 2:30 PM) replaces the second half of the hourlong Popeye block at 11:00 PM.

And Tuesday night's rotating block from 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM is now Be Cool, Scooby Doo! instead of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.

Boomerang's overnight schedule for Wednesday, February 21st:

Boomerang Theater (Hey There, It's Yogi Bear!) airs at 12:00 AM.
Wally Gator airs at 2:00 AM, 2:30 AM, 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM.
Wacky Races (the original series) airs at 4:00 AM, 4:30 AM, 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM.

(And Boomerang starts showing Season 4 of The Flintstones on February 21st.)

EDIT: Boomerang's rotating blocks for Friday, February 23rd:

Jonny Quest (the 1980's episodes) airs at 2:00 AM, 2:30 AM, 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM.
Captain Planet and the Planeteers airs at 4:00 AM, 4:30 AM, 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM.

(I didn't think this was worth making a new post.)

EDIT #2: Boomerang Theater for Wednesday, February 28th is Rockin' With Judy Jetson.

And the rotating block from 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM is Wally Gator instead of Top Cat again.

Minor changes to Boomerang's weekend schedule:

The Jetsons airs at 10:00 PM, replacing Taz-Mania.
Laff-A-Lympics airs at 2:00 AM and 2:30 AM, replacing The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack on Saturday and Captain Planet and the Planeteers on Sunday.

Also, it looks like the block of Looney Tunes at 8:00 PM is now different from the block at 1:00 PM.

Boomerang's Tom and Jerry block now includes two of those weird new shorts from Cartoon Network Asia.

Also, though Boomerang is now showing Seasons 3 and 4 (so far) of The Flintstones, the end credits have been shortened. They start with the Flintmobile tipping over at the drive-in restaurant, right before the credits start appearing. (But the Screen Gems credit is still intact.)

Tonight (March 6th) on Boomerang:

Boomerang Theater (Yogi and the Invasion of the Space Bears) airs at 12:00 AM.
Wally Gator airs at 2:00 AM, 2:30 AM, 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM.
Galaxy Goof-Ups airs at 4:00 AM, 4:30 AM, 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM.

Tomorrow's block of The Flintstones includes a Season 1 episode, but also a Season 4 episode.

"Knighty Knight Bugs" has been added to Boomerang's blocks of Looney Tunes.

And "Popeye and the Pirates" has been added to Boomerang's Popeye blocks. (So has "Shakespearean Spinach", which I don't think was on the schedule before.)

EDIT: Tomorrow (March 8th) Boomerang starts airing Season 5 of The Flintstones.

"One Froggy Evening" gets added to Boomerang's Looney Tunes blocks tomorrow.

"What--No Spinach?" and "Wild Elephinks" get added to Boomerang's Popeye blocks tomorrow.

And the overnight block of Jonny Quest transitions from the 1980's episodes to the 1960's episodes.

More minor tweaks to Boomerang's weekend schedule:

Duck Dodgers airs at 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM instead of The Jetsons.
The Jetsons airs at 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM, replacing Popeye.

Also, tomorrow's block of Looney Tunes includes "Porky's Romance". I think that makes four B & W 1930's Looney Tunes that are part of Boomerang's schedule now.

For some reason another Care Bears special, Care Bears: Unlock the Magic: Grumpy's Ginormous Adventure (2023) airs on Boomerang at 8:00 AM tomorrow and Sunday.

No Laff-A-Lympics on Saturday because of Daylight Savings Time going into effect.

And it looks like Sunday's Boomerang schedule is going to (mostly) be movie-themed because of the Academy Awards.

And here it is. Minimal duplication, at least two Looney Tunes that aren't on the schedule right now, two 1950's Popeye cartoons that aren't on the schedule right now, an hourlong prime time Scooby Doo special from 1979 (but without Scrappy Doo) and the Saturday Superstar Movie Yogi's Ark Lark:

The Looney Tunes Show airs at 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM.
Care Bears: Unlock the Magic: Grumpy's Ginormous Adventure airs at 8:00 AM.
A Pup Named Scooby Doo airs at 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM.
The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo airs at 9:30 AM.
The New Scooby Doo Movies (with Laurel and Hardy) airs at 10:00 AM.
Tom and Jerry Tales airs at 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
The Tom and Jerry Show airs at 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM.
Tom and Jerry (including "Matinee Mouse") airs at 1:00 PM.
Looney Tunes (including "A Star Is Bored" and "Duck Amuck") airs at 1:30 PM
New Looney Tunes airs at 2:30 PM.
The Looney Tunes Show airs at 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
Wally Gator airs at 4:00 PM.
Yogi's Treasure Hunt airs at 4:30 PM.
Yogi Bear ("Show Biz Bear"/"Batty Bear"/"Droop-A-Long Yogi") airs at 5:00 PM.
The Flintstones airs at 5:30 PM, 6:00 PM, 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM.
Popeye ("Doing Impossikible Stunts"/"How Green Is My Spinach"/"Popeye Makes A Movie") airs at 7:30 PM.
Looney Tunes (including "A Star Is Bored" and "Duck Amuck") airs at 8:00 PM.
Taz-Mania airs at 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM.
Duck Dodgers airs at 10:00 PM.
Scooby Doo and Guess Who? airs at 10:30 PM, 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM.
What's New Scooby Doo? airs at 12:00 AM.
The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo (same episode that aired at 9:30 AM) airs at 12:30 AM.
Scooby Goes Hollywood (1979) airs at 1:00 AM.
Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated airs at 2:00 AM.
Be Cool, Scooby Doo! airs at 2:30 AM.
Wacky Races (the original series) airs at 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM.
Yogi's Gang airs at 4:00 AM.
Boomerang Theater (Yogi's Ark Lark) airs at 4:30 AM.
The New Adventures of Captain Planet airs at 5:30 AM.

EDIT: I watched most of Scooby Goes Hollywood (except for a minute about five minutes in because of a test of the Emergency Broadcast System, which replaced the picture and muted the sound), which was the first time I had watched it since its original broadcast. As a child I recognized all of the TV shows that were parodied or referenced: How Scooby Won The West, Lavon & Scooby, Scooby Days, The Love Ship, Scooby and Cherie, Scooby's Angels, Mork and Shaggy, Welcome Back Shaggy, Shaggy and Hutch. As an adult, I now realize that all of them aired on ABC at the time. (And if Hanna-Barbera had waited a couple of years to make this, they could have used the voices of Henry Winkler and Penny Marshall. Instead Frank Welker voiced "the Groove" and I don't know who voiced "Lavon".) Stuff that went over my head as a child: The Sound of Scooby, Steve Martin quotes ("just a wild and crazy guy", "Well EXCUSE ME!"), a bulldog imitating James Cagney, a Scottie dog saying "Hoot man!" and the "Black Top Hat" restaurant. A flashback showed the whole gang getting Scooby at a pet store, which clashes with SCOOB!. There were a couple of original songs, plus "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" was reworked into "Scooby Doo, We Miss You". And the special seemed to have fuller animation, maybe because it originally aired in prime time.

Starting tonight (March 11th), Boomerang's rotating blocks get shortened from two hours to an hour and a half, and Popeye now airs at 5:00 AM weekdays.

Also, today "Stop! Look! and Hasten!" got added to Boomerang's blocks of Looney Tunes. And tomorrow another 1950's Popeye cartoon, "Popeye For President", gets added to Boomerang's Popeye blocks.

EDIT: On March 15th "Little School Mouse" is in Boomerang's Tom and Jerry block. I don't think it was on the schedule before.

EDIT #2: The overnight block of Looney Tunes on Boomerang tonight (March 18th) includes "Bedeviled Rabbit". I don't think this was on the schedule before.

EDIT #3: The overnight block of Popeye on Boomerang tonight (March 19th) includes "Bulldozing the Bull", "Cops Is Always Right" and "Customers Wanted". I don't think any of these were on the schedule before.

EDIT #4: The overnight block of Popeye on Boomerang tonight (March 20th) includes "Flies Ain't Human", which wasn't on the schedule before, and "Fright to the Finish", which aired on Halloween last year and hadn't been shown since then.

EDIT #5: The March 22nd block of Looney Tunes on Boomerang includes "Design For Leaving", which I don't think was on the schedule before.

EDIT #7: On March 23rd "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century" gets added to Boomerang's blocks of Looney Tunes.

Also, tomorrow's block of Looney Tunes includes "Wearing of the Grin", which was already in rotation on Boomerang. (And also "The Cat's Paw", which I don't think was on Boomerang's schedule before.)

Tonight (March 25th), the overnight block of Looney Tunes on Boomerang includes "Hare and Loathing in Las Vegas", "Hare Splitter" and "Haredevil Hare".

Tomorrow's block of Looney Tunes on Boomerang includes "Hip Hip Hurry", which I don't think was on the schedule before.

Tomorrow's overnight block of Popeye on Boomerang includes another cartoon from the 1950's, "Mister and Mistletoe".

And tomorrow Boomerang starts airing Season 6 of The Flintstones.

EDIT: Tonight (March 27th) Boomerang Theater is Top Cat and the Beverly Hills Cats (again).

Tonight, instead of three episodes of Galaxy Goof-Ups, there are two episodes of Galaxy Goof-Ups and an episode of Yogi's Space Race in the overnight blocks on Boomerang.

And tomorrow "Knight-mare Hare", which had been shown on Boomerang on Chinese New Year, gets added to the regular blocks of Looney Tunes.

Tomorrow (March 29th) on Boomerang:

Stars of Space Jam (with only "Little Go Beep" listed as the contents on my cable TV box's guide), which previously aired on February 16th, airs at 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM instead of the usual blocks of Looney Tunes.

A new episode of Jellystone!, "Meet the Jetsons", airs at 8:00 PM instead of a repeat of the 11:00 episode of The Flintstones.

Boomerang Theater is the direct-to-video Scooby Doo movie Arabian Nights (1994). According to my cable TV box's guide, Yogi Bear is in it.

And the overnight block of Popeye includes "Safari So Good", which I don't think was on the schedule before.

Also, it looks like there's going to be extra Looney Tunes (classic and recent) on Boomerang on Saturday, including another Larry Doyle short, "Museum Scream".

EDIT: I watched Arabian Knights on Friday night. Shaggy and Scooby Doo were basically used as a framing device, telling stories to forestall being beheaded, a la Scheherazade. The main story was a gender-swapped version of Aladdin, with Yogi Bear as the genie and Boo Boo as an apprentice genie. I'm guessing that this was inspired by the success of the Disney version of Aladdin, which by 1994 had spawned a direct-to-video sequel and a Disney Afternoon/Saturday morning TV series. The other story was Sinbad the Sailor, with Magilla Gorilla as Sinbad and a villain voiced by Charlie Adler.

This was probably the last major production in which Don Messick voiced Scooby Doo (as opposed to commercials on Cartoon Network), as well as Boo Boo, and probably the last time he worked with Casey Kasem. This also probably was the last time that Allan Melvin voiced Magilla Gorilla. It was kind of strange hearing the voices of these veterans in a production with modern voice talent like Charlie Adler, Rob Paulsen, Maurice LaMarche and Jennifer Hale. And I wish that Daws Butler had lived long enough to voice Yogi Bear in this production. Greg Burson just wasn't the same. (Though he sounded better in Yogi the Easter Bear.)

Shaggy's character design was really off. I'm guessing that these were the same animators who worked on A Pup Named Scooby Doo because it looked like that version of Shaggy's head and face on adult Shaggy's body. (But Scooby Doo looked on-model to me.)

My cable TV box's guide lists this voice cast for "Museum Scream": Mel Blanc, June Foray and Jeff Glen Bennett. And it says that "Museum Scream" was directed by Dan Povenmire, co-creator of Disney's Phineas and Ferb.

And it looks like there's going to be special programming on Boomerang on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately it includes Care Bears and Smurfs.

EDIT: I saw part of the 6:00 PM block of Looney Tunes while I was posting Boomerang's schedule for April 1st. "A Wild Hare" was the Blue Ribbon version (including omitting the reference to Carole Lombard), but the print was in much better condition than the faded aap print that used to be shown on WTBS and TNT.

EDIT #2: I watched Yogi, the Easter Bear on Saturday. Don Messick was the only member of the "old guard" who did voicework for this special, working with newer voice actors like Charlie Adler (who again voiced a villain) and Rob Paulsen. This was probably the last time that he voiced Ranger Smith (who sounded more like his old self, not too high-pitched like in Yogi's Treasure Hunt) and possibly the last time that he voiced Boo Boo. (I don't know which was recorded first, Yogi, the Easter Bear or Arabian Nights.) Greg Burson sounded better as Yogi than he did in Arabian Nights, but I still wish that Daws Butler had lived long enough to work with Don Messick one last time on these two productions.

I hate to bring this up, but according to the recent "Stu's Show" episode, there's been rumors that Boomerang's plug might be pulled very soon (although, the streaming service will still be available). Might as well enjoyed what might be left of the channel.
