Okay, but I have to ask…

Are the titles photoshopped?

The two new restorations do look very great!

Where in the review does it say that the restoration of "The Wacky Worm" is not on par? I read it several times and it doesn't say anything about that.

If its like the first set, the photoshopped titles are cropped to appear as the genuine originals. Some may of been entirely redone, however. I'll let people know

Nic, I've seen the same copy presented on this disc in other places. It appears they used the old AAP master and scanned it in 4K, or simply upscaled the Turner transfer. Colors are not up to par, for example. Compare the photo to the other photos presented; its a noticeable difference

I just got it! Very good stuff so far, though there's a slight out-of-focus for scenes in spotlights, for some reason, in Penguin Parade and Hamateur Night.

Here's my full review:

The best solution for Eager Beaver's sync problem would be, in my opinion, put a corrected version in a subsequent volume. Kino Lorber did this with a Pink Panther episode. The format of the Collector's Choice collection favors this because the shorts are independent and not in a particular order. This would not require a replacement program and would make vol. 2 look less like a defective product.
I always come to TTTP in Exile in the hope of finding news about Warner announcing Tex Avery Collection.

Agreed. Like maybe in a retail compilation targeted to kids and families (with still something for the adult collectors).

What also needs to be taken care of is the photoshopped titles on the HBO Max transfers. What we need to do is keep letting Warner know (kindly and calmly) to go back and splice back in the unaltered versions (restored of course) to the Max masters.

But WB did a disc exchange for Popeye the Sailor Volume 2 just because "Customers Wanted" and "Hello How Am I" had aap opening titles with Paramount logos tacked on. And Disney did a disc exchange for the More Silly Symphonies Disney Treasure because some of the cartoons still had burlap reissue titles. (Though Disney Treasures are limited edition collectors items, not a "mass market" release like this.)

Hey, The Wacky Worm looked really bad. It looked live a good Digiview. Maybe it was the cinematography...

Plus, it wasn't funny. That was a surprise, coming that it's a Friz, who's always funny. Compare it to Friz's Catty Cornered on the same disc; it made me laugh til it shook the walls.
