I'd like to know if these preparatory sketches for the cartoon Hell's Bells (1929) are indeed originals drawn by Ub Iwerks, all these sketches come from IMDB and I'm suspicious of this very unreliable site:

Curiously, none of the scenes shown in these sketches appear in the final cartoon, and the Devil seems to be very cruel there, as he drops all his assistants into a crevasse. There's also a giant, very long staircase, which I wonder what use it would have had in the plot.

However, these sketches don't seem to resemble those published on the Silly-Simphony.com website, and the paper isn't the same color either:

What do you think of these sketches?

imDB is usually unreliable because of the data reported due to a lack of effort, though it definitely took effort to source these, likely from auctions and books. These drawings are indeed the real deal; most Disney cartoons, even from the silent era, had planned scenes that never made it to screen. Never seen some of those before, thanks for sharing!

It's you I thank for confirming the authenticity of these sketches, all of which are very impressive, especially the staircase scene, and it's a shame they weren't included in the final film.
